So this is what we need to do during this weekand. And i need your help to give comments/criticism/opinions/whatever you think you need to say about my Icons Designs.
Please. Do not read this post and leave. Leave a comment based on my questions before you go! Your opinions are greatly appreciated!! ^___^
SO, these are my Icons Design:
Pixel icons
Vector icons
Questionnaire: (# Further critical comments based on the question are welcomed)
1. First of all, can you recognize them as icons? Or you might think of something else instead?
a) I can recognize all of them as icons.
b) I can recognize some of them, that is ________. *pls specify them, thank you.
c) I don't see them as icons.
2. If you see them on your computer screen or mobile phones, you will think that these icons represents? *home? contacts? mail? web? camera? etc....
3. What do you think is the theme for my design? *we actually create our designs based on one theme. What do you think the theme is? Suggestions like: Chinese, Red, Ribbons etc....
4. What do you think about the colour scheme for my designs? Is it suitable for the theme? Or maybe i could've choose another type of colour combinations?
5. What do you think about the details of my designs? Too much? Lack of details? Just right?
6. Perhaps further opinions on how i created the icons? Maybe about the effects that i used? Shadow effects? overlaying part, etc...?
7. Overall do you think the designs are original? Or you've seen them somewhere else?

5. Okay but a little too floral.. i think icons should be precise and straight forward without too many obvious details.. >.<

7. original. i've never seen it anywhere else. in fact, i've never seen anything quite like it! in terms of originality, this piece is superb =D
1.I recognise them as icons they are nice, I think i fail as chinese bacause I am puzzled at the circular vector.

5.The vector phone is good. VERY GOOD I LIKE. The pixel ones are very well detailed, I have problem identifying them.
6.They are well made. Technical skill is good idea and motive is good.

It's a red ribbon.. like some kinda celebration, maybe christmas?

These colours are nice already. But perhaps you should add in a little bit of complimentary colour, which in this case is green.
5.
The 1st 2 icons are perfect already in this sense. The 3rd one i'm not sure. 4th one is fine too.
6.
Maybe the 4th one use a more convincing shadow effect/ make it more 3D solid? And the 3rd one; ribbon elements in the middle seems kinda flimsy. You could try something more solid.

I don't think i've seen anything like it b4. I really like the first 2 ones!

3. I think the theme would be Chinese culture.
4. The colour scheme is nice but I personally would prefer a more colorful combination.
5. The details are just right. Not too much, not too little.
6. I love the shadow effect which makes the icons look more 3D.
7. The icons are original! I've never seen it anywhere before :)

3= home? i think its home, but... its just strange
4= contacts, incoming calls, call logs

i feel a massive atmosphere of chinese new year. due to the amount of red and ribbons is put into play. however, the brown and peach sort of shade for the first 2 icons, reminds me of valentines.

if its chinese new year, then the colours are good to go. if valentine, need a lil more western touch into it.

The 1st 2 icons are well done. 3rd and 4th may need a lil more time and work put into it.

i`m still doing cg2, so i`m not sure. but maybe like wei yang said, a lil more solidity and form for the 4th one.

first and second is truly great. 3rd reminds me too much of chinese new year decoration. and for the 4th, its a lil too straight forward and common.

6. The third one has funny looking gradient. At least to me XD. Some simple shadow will be nice.
7. Like from what I read in ImagineFX..it goes something like: "There isn't originality, just whether it has been executed by you and how well you did it." But overall, I think it's pretty fine.
